The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League is very excited to announce they have been selected to sanction the 2009 Indy Super Pull to be held at the Indiana State Fair.
The Historic announcement was made center stage with 8,000 in attendance to close this year's fair. Sherry Daniels wife of Governor Mitch Daniels explained to the enthusiastic crowd the format for next year's fair including many changes but primarily the big move was adding a motor sports weekend to the 2009 state fair which would extend the fair to five days and include three weekends of happenings for fair goers.
Mike Moore president of Family Events, the promotions and contracting company servicing the State Fair Board and entertainment sector, presented a clip of Pro Pulling League action on their 9'x12' Jumbo-tron for the excited fans. Family Events owned by Bruce Hubley of Indianapolis will also be presenting the demo derby and the Indy Mile flat track motorcycle race as well as the 4-Wheel Jamboree at the state fair facility. Kristi Chastain, Co-Director of the Pro Pulling League, was on hand to announce the layout of the event. "The event will be held in front of the main grandstands on August 7 & 8, 2009. It will include three session action starting on Friday August 7th and two sessions on Saturday August 8th with two tracks and four classes per session."
The announcement concluded with Team Lucas Operations Director Mike Chastain thanking Lucas oil Customers, fans, the Indiana State Fair Board and Family Events for allowing Lucas Oil to be a part of this very exciting motorsports spectacular which will also include a Demo Derby on Sunday August 9th. Advance tickets with reserved seating are scheduled to go on sale within the next thirty days.
