Family Events Announces 2009 National Schedule of 4-Wheel-Drive Performance Series.

12/18/2008

The return of a 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals® weekend in Vermont and the ever-growing Truck and Jeep Fest highlight the 2009 lineup of 4x4 celebrations.

(INDIANAPOLIS)  For the 28th year, Family Events will produce a national series of weekends celebrating the 4x4 lifestyle in 2009.  Highlighting the schedule are return visits to five 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals sites that hosted events last year, as well as the return to Vermont after a one-year absence and the third installment of the Truck and Jeep Fest in Canfield, Ohio.

Each of these weekends provides non-stop, affordable entertainment for both participating 4x4 enthusiasts and spectators.  Participants show off their creations and shop for the latest, must-have add-ons for their vehicles.  The various events include competitors taking part in mud bogging, the Mickey Thompson Tough Truck® competition, NMRO Mud Drags®, the Mickey Thompson Tires Burnout competition, rock crawling, and the professionally-judged show-‘n-shine contests.  Spectators turn out by the thousands to stroll the grounds and Manufacturers Midway.  Then they pack the grandstands to watch America's top monster trucks go all-out in the Monster Truck Thunder Drags® and axle-wrenching freestyles.  Fireworks and specialty performances enhance the fun at many of the events.

The Ozarks host the first stop for the 2009 season.

The 12th Annual O'Reilly Auto Parts Ozark 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals® returns to kick off the 2009 season at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, MO on Saturday and Sunday, May 2 & 3, 2009.
