Competitive Results Posted as Anderson, SC Returns to 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals Series.

(INDIANAPOLIS) The O'Reilly Auto Parts Southeastern 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals
Presented by Toyo Tires returned to the Anderson County Fairgrounds in Anderson, SC after a multi-year hiatus on April 26th and 27th, 2008. Competition was held at the event among five top Monster Trucks, the Mickey Thompson Tires Tough Trucks Challenge, Comp Cams NMRO Mud Drags presented by TCI Automotive, and in professionally-judged Show N' Shine competitive classes.

Geremie Dishman driving Rammuntion of Hall Brothers Racing from Champaign, Illinois dominated event two of the 2008 Monster Truck Thunder Drags at the Southeastern 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals. Dishman won both of the Monster Truck Thunder Drag rounds on Saturday and won again in the final round on Sunday. The Hall Brothers other truck, Raminator, scored a similar weekend sweep at the first 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals weekend the previous week in Baytown, Texas.

For the 2008 season, Mark Hall driving Raminator leads in points after the Anderson round. He holds a 120 point lead over teammate Geremie Dishman and Rammunition. Jim Koelher of Columbus, MI in Avenger is tied for third in Monster Truck Thunder Drag competition with Chris Bergeron Columbus, Michigan in Spike.

Jim Koehler in Avenger won two of three rounds of the Anderson freestyle Monster Truck competition winning Saturday's round 1 and Sunday's round. Lionel Easler of Kissimmee, FL in Instigator won Saturday's second show.

In the Modified Division of the Mickey Thompson Tires Tough Trucks Challenge, Sonny Dohrmund of Davenport, IA and his '00 Ford named "After Burner" extended his lead in the 2008 points championship with a final round win at Anderson over Josh Fridley of Middletown, IN. Dohrmund was also the fastest qualifier for the Anderson round. Fridley, driving a truck called "Rolling Thunder" moved into a tie with Gary McIver of New Castle, IN and "Bits 'N Pieces" for second place in season points.
McIver was eliminated in the round of 8 scoring 80 points in Anderson. Fridley and McIver trail Dohrmund by 220 points going into round three, May 3 & 4 in Springfield, MO.

Racing in the 2008 Comp Cams NMRO Mud Drags Presented by TCI got underway in Anderson.

In Class 6, Tim Wheelus of Jefferson, GA driving "Simply 1" was the overall winner with the lowest E.T. over two rounds. Wheelus also scored second place in points for the Anderson round in Class 6 in his other truck called "Simply 2" by virtue of picking up the bonus points for scoring the best reaction time. Mike Lane of Botkins, OH in "Wicked Sensation" had the second quickest combined elapsed time for the weekend and omes away from Anderson in third place in season points. Chuck Courty III of Apollo, PA had the third best low E.T. for the weekend in "Mud Missile".

In Class 5, Tim Wheelus in "Simply 1" was the overall winner. William Fling II of Sunbury, OH driving "Reality Check" finished second and Wheelus' "Simply 2" finished third. By scoring the best reaction time bonus in "Simply 2", Tim Wheelus comes away from the Anderson weekend in first and econd place in Class 5 season points. Fling II is in third place.

The Class 4 NMRO Mud Drags Anderson winner was Brian K. Sears of Mt. Lookout, WV driving Mud Hopper". Sears comes away with the season points lead. His best overall ET beat Billy Sampson r. of Boaz, AL in "Cyclone" by 73 hundredths of a second. Billy Gillespie of Hurricane, WV in "Anger anagement" finished third. Shawn Tootle of Reidsville, GA in "After Hours" picked up the bonus for best reaction time in Class 4, elevating him to second in season points coming out of the Anderson
round ahead of Sampson who is third in points.

In Class 3 of the Comp Cams NMRO Mud Drags Presented by TCI, Kirk Miller of Matthews, NC won with the lowest combined E.T. in "The Grinch". Shawn Tootle of Reidsville, GA in "After Hours" was second-quick and picked up the bonus for best reaction time of .527. Scott Schane of Moundsville, WV in "Just Bring It" was third.

In the pro-judged Show N' Shine competition, the Grand Champion class winners were: Street/Street Zero Category- Mike Batjes from Holland, MI for his '61 Chevy Apache; Modified Category- Jeremy Dann of Mauldin, SC for his Toyota Tundra; and in the Pro Category- Chris Persinger of Covington, VA for his Toyota SR-5.
