December 18th, 2007, Hawthorne, CA—AEM has released its BRUTE FORCE HD intake system for 2007 Cummins-equipped 6.7L Dodge Ram pickups (part# 21-9221DS). Given the tight tolerances of the 6.7L-equipped Ram’s engine compartment and the inlet pipe’s proximity to the exhaust manifold, AEM manufactures the 21-9221DS’s inlet pipe using roto-molded polypropylene. Unlike polyethylene piping, which is used by some competitors, polypropylene is more heat resistant and will ensure that the extreme temperatures of the exhaust manifold do not affect the integrity of the inlet pipe. AEM guarantees its intake systems for the life of your vehicle (see aempower.com for complete warranty information). All BRUTE FORCE HD intakes feature a massive oil-free re-usable DRYFLOW filter, enabling up to 81% more airflow than stock. We engineer every system we manufacture for maximum flow, filtration and durability for heavy-duty applications.
AEM BRUTE FORCE HD intakes are available for popular late model Cummins, Duramax and PowerStroke Diesel engines. AEM manufactures its intakes for maximum durability, and each kit includes a "bullet-proof" heat shield with a powdercoated black finish (when applicable), a complete hardware kit and comprehensive photo installation instructions. Brute Force HD intakes with aluminum inlet pipes are available with our new gunmetal 2-stage powdercoat or mirror-polished finish, and polypropylene inlet systems are available with a black finish only.
